Las Vegas
Dec 18-Dec 22, 2005
On Dec 18th we left Phoenix via car to go check out Vegas. After a shorter trip than we were expecting, we arrived at our destination: New York, New York Hotel. I know, we go all the way to Vegas to stay at NY, NY? But, when you stay on a higher floor, you actually get a great view of the strip.
While in Vegas we walked around the strip and tried to do as many free shows as possible, however, we finally decided to spend a little money, besides in the slots...
In the end we saw The Lion Habitat at MGM, Rita Rudner at NY,NY, The Tournament of Kings at Excaliber, The Secret Garden, and Volcano at the Mirage (this garden has dolphins too!), the gondolas at the Venetian (we only saw this one, they wanted $15 pp to ride with a smelly Italian guy!!), Eiffel Tower at Paris, King Tut's tomb and museum at Luxor (this one is obviously a reproduction, but was very cool nonetheless), the fountains at the Bellagio, Roman gods at Caesar's Palace, and how could Vegas be complete without a Dam Tour. Can you tell we were busy? And amongst all this sight seeing, we still found time to lose money too!
Here are some of our photos:
Bellagio Christmas decorations
Over 50K cranberries were used in this display. Do not worry though, none were harmed making it.
Michelle made some frozen friends while in Vegas, and look! They are all dressed up for the occasion.

Who has better hair? The Lion, the Witch or the Wardrobe?
Bellagio Water Fountains,
and they were even set to Christmas music!
Shane posing for a Dam photo
Would you take the dam photo already?
If you look closely, you will notice the person taking the photo was in two places at once!

Rita Rudner
King Tut even has his own suite at the Luxor, shame he can't appreciate it!
